It's a Celebration!

"and the two shall become one flesh"

Ephesians 5:31b

To my Wonderful Family & Friends

I know it has been a very long time since I have been in contact with so many of you. I am so blessed to have the amount of people that have touched my life as I do. I want to start this letter out by saying thanks... thanks for all the times and memories of the past and the many more that I am sure are yet to come. I know a lot of you are probably thinking to yourselves, where is she going with all this? Well... what I am getting at is this... the monumental blessing of my life has occurred.

I have found my life being touched by one of the most caring and compassionate people I have ever met. This letter is to announce the up coming union of myself with a man by the name of David Anthony. Dave and I have been friends for quite some time and found we were feeling something new and wonderful in August of 1999. I know that to most of you this pace is not easy to understand but when you have the foundation that Dave and I have, being the Lord Jesus, we know that it is not a mere coincidence that our paths have crossed.

Dave currently resides in Columbus, Ohio and we have just spent the most incredible week together. What I expected to be beyond my wildest dreams was much, much more. I have never felt this kind of love in my life. Dave will be returning to me, here in Vernon, come the first part of December. We are planning to marry New Years Eve in a private and intimate ceremony with just family at 4pm in our home. We are then planning a celebration of our union and having an informal dinner with a few of our close friends and family. Dave calls it a "Wedding Feast".

We will be living here in Vernon and starting the life that both Dave and I have dreamed about, which is to living a life that is honoring to the Lord and to love and be loved. He is a man who loves the Lord for which I am very grateful. His father, whom we just lost last month to cancer and is now resting with the Lord, was a minister for 42 years. His mother is a most wonderful, caring and godly woman. Although we have not yet met, we do speak on the phone and have begun a wonderful relationship. I love and respect her so much already. She has been a great support for Dave and I.

Dave has a brother and a sister that live in the Columbus area, one in Cincinnati and another brother in Wisconsin. Dave also has two adult children, Andrea 22 and Rob 20. The perfect age for me to begin motherhood. PHEW. that was a close one! The only diapers we will be changing will be grandchildren when that time comes. Dave is 7 years older than I am, although sometimes I wonder if he is regressing when he gets going. The man has a wonderful sense of humor. We spent a lot of time laughing when we were together.

As of today, I have just found us a great little 2 bedroom only one and a half blocks from the shop. I will have a week to set things up before Dave arrives. We are not sure what kind of work he will be doing. He has done a lot of different things including driving forklift, working in the printing industry for 13 years and has done radio work. Dave also is an incredible guitarist and is about to record his 2nd CD. With his ability, that also opens the door for teaching guitar as well.

So I just want this letter to let you all know that you are loved and thought of.  I hope that you will be with us in your thoughts on this most incredible day of our lives.  I can't think of a better way to start the millenium.   Marrying the man I love and being with friends and family.  Blessings to you all... and keep in touch!

Love and prayers, Dave and Sandi

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give  you hope and a future.  Then you will  call upon me and come and pray to me,  and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I will come forth as gold
