Some
Things are Temporary Prophecies
will someday cease. Tongues will one day be stilled. Knowledge will pass
away. Why? Because when we
see Him, we will no longer be in need of prophecy or tongues or any
earthly spiritual gift. Those
things are here for us now, until finally we are in the presence of the
Lord and will no longer be necessary.
We have partial knowledge now of who God is and what His purposes
are. When we see Him, we
will be like Him and we will no longer need the partial because we will
have the complete full revelation of Him.
We will then be in His presence.
When perfection comes, that is will be the day when we no longer
need to seek Him, for we will be with Him.
All those gifts that He has given us to lead us to the place He
is calling us to will no longer be needed. All
those things that we have now are leading us to the place of maturity.
That place is in the presence of the Lord.
Right now, we are children moving toward that maturity.
When we see Him, we will know.
Right now, we have just a reflection of His glory.
Now we have partial knowledge, but then that knowledge will be
complete. And what will
that knowledge reveal? The
unending, enduring, all fulfilling, encompassing love of God will be
revealed. We will spend all
of eternity in awe of the His great love. |
